Pirates of The Carribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

I've been looking forward to seeing this film since I discovered that it was being filmed.  I loved the first one.  Which I thought was funny, sexy and engenius. 

This one however was good, it was funny but I didn't enjoy is all that much.   I did enjoy the concept of Davey Jones and his crew, and seeing Wills Dad.   I felt it was too long, too much action in it and trying too hard to be funny.  Norringtons charactor was a pain in the first one but he's even worse in this film.  I do like Jack Davenport as an actor.  I saw him in the channel four vampire series Ultraviolet.  He was  really good in the  show, and in all the others things he's been in.

Johnny Depp was as good as ever as was Orlando Bloon.   Keria Knightly did annoy me slightly and the who romance thing between Elizabeth & Jack was insane and seamed to come out of the left field.  The fact that Will didn't challange Elizabeth on the kiss doesn't seam to ring true.  He would have done something about it.

I did laugh a great deal through the film but after a while the jokes stopped being funny.  But the time I got to the end, I was bored.  On the whole by the time I got to the end of the film I had cramp, numb bum syndrome and I knew that this film when on over two hours.  I was really restless by the end of it.  It makes me think twice about seeing the third or the fourth.

Concidering how great the first one was, it was insane that this one was soo much worse.  You never expect sequals to be as good as the first but you don't expect this much of a let down.  It's like having the matrix all over again.  If this is the standard for the rest of the films please just give up now and don't make them.

What was the point of the island? And that canabile tribe?  To me there was no real point in all of that!
